Request for Public Records

Have a request for a P.O.S.T record or other document?

Idaho State Police procedure 02.05 Public Records Requests requires that public records requests must be “submitted in writing and provide the requester's name, mailing address, e-mail address (if the requester has one) and telephone/cell phone number”.

The written request may be made to P.O.S.T by using the convenient online records request form, or you may mail a completed request form or letter containing the required information to:
Idaho Peace Officer Standards & Training
700 South Stratford Drive
Meridian, ID 83642
ATTN: Records Custodian

If your request is for a copy of a P.O.S.T.-issued certificate, you will receive a copy of the scanned original certificate, not a replica of the original certificate.  P.O.S.T. cannot recreate the original of a requested certificate.  Please be advised that P.O.S.T. does not retain copies of all certificates issued for other P.O.S.T.-certified training.
